This base measures 5" x 25" x 3/4" in thickness. The base has a single 1/16" slot for reed insertion. The base has (4) mixes of wood types, containing either Oak, Cherry, Ash, Walnut and Purple Heart.

The center wood piece is the Purple Heart. The other two dark strips are the Walnut. The remainder is Oak, Ash or/and Cherry woods.

The base is glued and sanded and is ready for weaving.
