The base is made from a 10" round that has the center cut out at 8". The width of the remaing wood is approximately 1.75". The basket would be woven, and then the base could be placed over any round item that is 8" or less in diameter such as a flower pot or maybe a small garbage recepticle. The base is cut from a 10" round Wisconsin hardwood. The base has a 1/16" single slot. Sanded and ready for weaving.
