New website design for 2018

New webpage design and features to bring in the 2018!

I must say that it is about time too!  Over the past 15 years, I have been using a web design that is called "open source".  The ideas and design modules with "open source" are the gathering places for some of the best eCommerce sites available online.  Although the program worked well for my small wood working business, over the last couple of years there was not much effort to bring out newer and more secure versions or "user friendly modules" of the software program.

Because of the software versions were just getting older and outdated, I took a "BIG" leap along with my IT department (many thanks to my son Bob) to upgrade my eCommerce site.  You will notice a significant difference in design layouts and the ability for you to create your own "Page Theme" while shopping.  You will also find more products wood type variations available to you.  Within the products, we have added drop down menu's for selecting different types of wood such as Oak, Cherry, Ash, Maple, Hickory and Walnut.  You can now order various types of wood for the same base(s).  Not all bases will have this feature, but very many will.

Also, you will see a cart design with better flow allowing for easier selections and easier updating of your cart.  You will now also be able to select a shipping estimate of the items you placed in your cart.  My UPS shipping cart estimates by weight and not the size of the product(s).

Also new for 2018 is the ability to award long term customers with periodic coupons and discounts.  This is something that I have wanted to do for years but could not due to software restrictions.

So, give me feed back on the website and let me know how you feel about it, what improvements you would like to see happen and what you would like to see regarding "new" wood bases this coming year.  Happy weaving-Jeff.
